Expat-Expo Bern, September 23rd 2012
If you live in the capital of Switzerland or somewhere in the middle of this gorgeous country, you don't want to miss the Bern Expat-Expo on Sunday, September 23rd, 2012 from 11:00 AM- 5:00 PM at the BERNEXPO Congress Centre, Mingerstrasse 6, 3014 Bern. DACH will have a table there to greet attendees and provide information on the group's activities as well as voter registration information (non-partisan, of course)! Make sure you are registered to vote for the 2012 November elections and that you receive an absentee ballot by mail in Switzerland or by email (new as of this year)!
WE NEED YOU! VOLUNTEERS!!
We need volunteers to help us with the table. If you can help, please email Renee Rousseau at zurich@democrats.ch to volunteer for a time-slot. Duties include greeting people, providing information on voting (we will give you on-site training) and it’s a fun environment so time goes by quickly!
10:30-12:45: Time-slot 1 (help set up, voter registration and greet visitors)
12:45-3:00: Time-slot 2 (voter registration, greet visitors)
3:00-5:15: Time-slot 3 (voter registration, greet visitors and help take-down table)
Expat Expo is free and open to everyone. Spread the word to your friends! Whether you are new to the area or a long-time resident, in the space of an afternoon, you will find important goods and services such as doctors, accountants and lawyers, schools and day-care, clubs and churches, specialty food items and much more – all targeted towards the English-speaking community.
