Democrats Abroad discussion on the War Against Women tonight, June 19th

You have you been drafted to FIGHT BACK in the War Against Women! Your voice is your weapon. 

Join us for an informal discussion led by experts on reproductive health issues for women, by women. Dr. Maria Rodriguez and Dr. Sharon Phillips, from the World Health Organization, will share their research on the economic impact of restricting access to contraception and other family planning services as well as the impact of the Affordable Care Act on women's health care. And to inspire further conversation, selected prints by artist Elisabetta Farina from the Women Create Life project will be on display. 

Date: Tuesday June 19th, 2012

Time: 19:00 - 21:00

Where: Private home of DA member in Vesenaz (GE). Address provided on RSVP.

The 3rd annual Slugout in the Dugout - Democrats Abroad versus Republicans Abroad 2012 – is less than two weeks away. Do not miss out on the fun!

As always, we need not only players but also family and friend cheerleading squads, so there's no excuse not to come and bring the whole gang!  

We have held a couple practices so far and the team is shaping up to take on the Republicans and win in 2012! We have one more practice this Saturday June 23^rd in Vessy. (Details below). If you have not made the previous practices, you are still welcome to join.

We putting our order in for Dems Abroad team t-shirts today (June 19^th) so if you want one, email us before end of day to get more info and get your shirt added to the order. T-shirts will cost approx. CHF 25. (Adult sizes only).

On game day, Saturday June 30^th, if you'll be joining us either as a player or spectator, you need to email us at events@democrats.ch.  The game will take place at the Marines' field in Bellevue, as in years past, and we have to provide the Marines with a list of all attendees in advance for security purposes, so don't forget to give us your and your guests' names (kids, husbands, wives, friends, neighbors... all are welcome!) Burgers, hotdogs, beers and snacks sold by Marines on site.

Place: US Marines' field, Bellevue, Geneva (address and directions will be sent out closer to the date to all who sign up.) 

Time: Warm-up and practice at 2pm. Game starts around 3pm
