DPCA Door-knock and Meeting, 12-13 and 14-16 October
The Democratic Party Committee Abroad (DPCA) is the official name of Democrats Abroad International, the overseas branch of the Democratic Party. Each year the international leadership made up of elected volunteers from the 52 DA country committees meet as a global body.
The meeting covers discussions on meeting objectives, FEC compliance, fundraising, media, communications, and more. In addition, resolutions on various subjects, from the I-130 immigrant visa application issue to the rights of collective bargaining are discussed, voted on, and possibly passed on to the DNC.
The next DPCA meeting will be held in Washington DC on 14-16 October. All members are invited to attend. If you would like to join the DA Switzerland Delegation or find out more, please contact Maya Samara at chair@democrats.ch.
Democrats Abroad organizes a bi-annual Door Knock in Washington DC. This year’s Door-knock takes place on 12-13 October 2011, just before the global meeting. During the Door-knock, members of DA drop by the offices of elected representatives of the Senate and House of Representatives to introduce ourselves and discuss issues important to overseas Americans. Meetings are also held with key officials in the president’s administration and the DNC. If you would like to join the Democrats Abroad Door-knock Delegation, please email chair@democrats.ch.
