On April 25th, the Zürich Chapter elected their new chairperson at the annual meeting. We congratulate Renée Rousseau on returning for her second mandate as Chair, to run the Zürich Chapter in 2015-2017. Renée previously led the chapter from October 2011 to March 2014, with the chapter being especially active during President Obama's 2012 re-election campaign. Predictably, she has big plans to organize exciting election-year activities in 2016 and the lead-up this year.
After the annual meeting, Renée asked her opponent for the Chair position, Judy Brown, to serve as Vice-Chair for Zürich, and good news for the Chapter, Judy accepted. Congratulations and Welcome, Judy Brown! She has been the most consistently-active Chapter member for quite a while, and decided to step up. We look forward to seeing many members at the events Renée and Judy will be organizing.
Switzerland ExCom Member-at-Large Alison Bradley came up from Geneva to present the second half of the meeting: A talk about activities and plans for the 2016 elections of DA Switzerland as a whole. Those in attendance pitched in for a lively discussion.
The Executive Committee recognizes and thanks retiring Chapter Chair Annamaria Fato and Vice-Chair Myrtle Alexander for their service leading the chapter over the past year.
