On April 25th, the ZĂ¼rich Chapter elected their new chairperson at the annual meeting. We congratulate RenĂ©e Rousseau on returning for her second mandate as Chair, to run the ZĂ¼rich Chapter in 2015-2017. RenĂ©e previously led the chapter from October 2011 to March 2014, with the chapter being especially active during President Obama's 2012 re-election campaign. Predictably, she has big plans to organize exciting election-year activities in 2016 and the lead-up this year.
After the annual meeting, RenĂ©e asked her opponent for the Chair position, Judy Brown, to serve as Vice-Chair for ZĂ¼rich, and good news for the Chapter, Judy accepted. Congratulations and Welcome, Judy Brown! She has been the most consistently-active Chapter member for quite a while, and decided to step up. We look forward to seeing many members at the events RenĂ©e and Judy will be organizing.
Switzerland ExCom Member-at-Large Alison Bradley came up from Geneva to present the second half of the meeting: A talk about activities and plans for the 2016 elections of DA Switzerland as a whole. Those in attendance pitched in for a lively discussion.
The Executive Committee recognizes and thanks retiring Chapter Chair Annamaria Fato and Vice-Chair Myrtle Alexander for their service leading the chapter over the past year.
