Recent Events Recap

Fast Food Nation film screening at CinéLux, Geneva

On 30 April DACH Member-at-Large, Mark Pasquesi initiated the DACH Task Force on Issues with a full-house screening of Fast Food Nation (2006) followed by panel discussions and organic snacks, co-sponsored by the Genevan Green Party. The film brought attention to food, immigration, and labor issues and those interested in working on these issues should feel free to contact Mark.

DACH Art Walk, Geneva
On May 1st, DACH held our popular Art Walk tour around the Quartier des Bains contemporary art galleries. We had a great time. Here's a recap of our tour:

Our art tour began at Marc Jancou Contemporary, with recent work by John Miller entitled 'Subjective Monuments'. At Hard Hat, where our group mingled with a crowd of gallery-goers both on the street and indoors, the artists-designers-architects Trix and Robert Haussmann were present: their fantastic work with inlay, mirrors and furniture made quite an impact, as did the expert commentary by artist Marta Riniker-Radich. We then walked back up Rue des Bains and discovered the ink works of Evan Gruzis at SAKS, before listening to a dialogue between artist Mounir Fatmi and gallerist Barbara Polla at Hotel Tiffany.
