President Obama spoke about gun violence in a White House
speech last Thursday, just after the Senate blocked voting on the bi-partisan
Manchin-Toomey amendment. This very sensible legislation would have increased background
checks on gun sales, and was supported by over 90% of Americans. The Senate
refused to let it be discussed or voted.
