Election Day Announcements!

We are finally here, November 6^th, Election Day. We all voted and sent in our absentee ballot or FWAB, some of us are in the U.S. today to vote in person. Democrats and Obama supporters will come together by the hundreds tonight in Geneva and Zurich to watch the election returns together at huge Election Night Parties.

Here is a quick reminder about those events and a few other announcements.

Zurich Election Night Party

Co-hosted by Democrats Abroad Zurich and SP Zurich

Date: 6 November 2012

Doors open at 10:00pm - going on through the night.

Where: Gemeinschaftszentrum Riesbach, Seefeldstrasse 93, 8008 Zurich

Admission: Free. No registration required. Everyone welcome.

All Evening: Bar and snacks as well as live streaming of the most popular news channels on big screens.

T-shirts and campaign swag will be for sale. Get your Switzerland for Obama-Biden 2012 or Forward t-shirts!

Zurich Election Breakfast

Date: 7 November 2012

When: 6:00am – 9:00am

Geneva: Switzerland for Obama Election Night Party

Date: 6 November 2012

Time:  Doors open at 10:30pm and going all night until 7:00am.

Where: Uptown Geneva, 2 Rue de la Servette, 1201 Geneva 

Tickets: CHF 60

Tickets can be purchased online via Paypal at http://2012.dems.ch or at the door in cash only. Ticket sales start at 9:30pm at the door.

Three cinema projection screens will broadcast live updates from major news channels, twitter feeds and popular blogs all night.

Entrance includes: 1 drink, all night food, breakfast from 05:00am. Cash bar all night.

Special designed artwork, limited edition t-shirts, and campaign swag will be for sale. Net proceeds will go to Landstuhl Hospital's Wounded Warriors.

Lausanne Election Watch Party

ASSOPOL (The University of Lausanne political science alumni association) is holding an election watch event tonight.

Date: 6 November 2012

Time: 9:00pm until midnight – or 4:00am, depending on number of people in attendance.
