This call to arms will include an expert led discussion on reproductive health issues for women, by women with a focus on the economic impact of restricting access to contraception and other family planning services as well as the Affordable Care Act. This event is in the final planning stages and details will be sent out very soon. Please watch your inboxes for an invitation. Preliminary details are:
Date: Tuesday June 19th, 2012  -  To Be Confirmed
Time: 19:00 - 21:00
Where: Private home of DA member in Vesenaz (GE).
''Despite the persistent gender gap in opinion polls and mounting criticism of their hostility to women's rights, Republicans are not backing off their assault on women's equality and well-being. New laws in some states could mean a death sentence for a pregnant woman who suffers a life-threatening condition. But the attack goes well beyond abortion, into birth control, access to health care, equal pay and domestic violence.'' -- New York Times Op-Ed, May 20, 2012

4) *Americans Abroad for Obama fundraiser in Zurich with Mona Sutphen
Americans Abroad for Obama and Charles C. Adams invite you to a cocktail reception with former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Mona Sutphen at the Cafe Schober in Zurich on June 11, 2012, beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Mona is an extraordinarily accomplished and engaging woman, who will speak about her experience as one of the President's closest and most trusted advisors, and share her insights into the current state of the re-election campaign. Please join a lively and enthusiastic group of your like-minded American compatriots at what promises to be a memorable evening at one of the iconic venues in Zurich's Old Town, with drinks and canapes courtesy of the campaign. The requested contribution is $500 per person, with a special rate of $150 for Young Professionals of 30 and under. This is the first event of its kind in Zurich in support of the Obama Victory Fund and there is great hope for a very large and dynamic turnout at the Cafe Schober to greet Mona Sutphen, and to cheer Barack Obama on to victory in November.  To RSVP and make your contribution, contact: Dani Jimenez at +1(202) 572-5491 or JimenezD@Dnc.org.
* As part of our goal to inform DACH members about Democratic Party and campaign fundraising activities taking place in the Switzerland, we are happy to announce such events that are made known to us. These events are not organized, funded, or conducted for the benefit of Democrats Abroad.
