Thursday August 4th is President Obama's 50th birthday and you are cordially invited to celebrate the occasion with Democrats Abroad Switzerland! Hang out with other Americans and enjoy an evening in the park by the lake while we gather for our second outdoor picnic and movie night of the summer, at Cine Transat, the free outdoor summer movie program. As luck would have it, they are showing the all-time cult teen film that we all know and love: The Breakfast Club.
We will be gathering in the park at 8pm for the picnic and the movie begins at sunset. Everyone is welcome – American or not, so bring your colleagues and friends, as well as a blanket to sit on, picnic, wine, snacks, whatever you wish… and if you can bake, we are asking all those who can, bring a cake to share the good spirit and birthday cheer!

When: Thursday August 4th. We will begin gathering at 8pm; movie starts around 9:30-9:45, and running time is 97 minutes.

Plan B: It's been a pretty rainy summer and we don't want to have to cancel our birthday party plans. If it rains on August 4th and the movie gets cancelled, we'll meet instead at Clubhouse, Rue Philippe-Plantamour 25 in Paquis.
