DACH Annual General Meeting and Elections for Executive Committee







Democrats Abroad Switzerland will hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday March 27, 2011. All members are invited to attend. Election for the 2011-2013 Executive Committee Officers and Members-at-Large will be held during this meeting.

Where: In the UNI Global Union Building, ground floor, 8-10 Ave Reverdil, 1260 Nyon (VD)

DA Switzerland 2011 Annual General Meeting
PRELIMINARY AGENDA:
-Welcome and Officer Reports.
-Executive Committee Elections – brief speeches from candidates and nominations from the floor. Collection of ballots.
-Coffee break and vote tallying by Chairman of Nominations Committee followed by election results.
-Presentations and Discussion:
Politics – How do the 2012 elections look for the Democrats? Who are the possible presidential candidates from the Republican Party?
Democrats Abroad: How does DA Switzerland fit into the Democratic Party Committee Abroad and how are we represented in the DNC?
Resolutions: How we can make a difference from Switzerland.

Directions to the AGM:
By train to Nyon, exit train station, turn right and walk along the road, passing 1 roundabout where you will see the commercial centre with Migros on the left. Continue one more block and you will find UNI Global building on the left hand side of the road.  Total distance is 400m.
By car:
 From the highway
 Follow the highway until the Nyon exit and turn towards the lake as you head off the highway in the direction of Nyon centre. Keep going straight down towards the lake. At the second set of traffic lights, turn right after the railway bridge. The UNI building will be on your left, about 200 meters away.
From Geneva centre
via the lake route. If you take the lake route, follow it all the way to Nyon until you get to the first roundabout at the town entrance. Turn left towards the jura mountains. At the second set of traffic lights, turn right. The UNI building will be on your right, 50 meters away.
Parking: Public parking is available at Parc de Ruettes, located off of Route de Clementy and just opposite UNI Global. Parking is also available at the Nyon train station (5 min. walk).
