US Ambassador to WTO talks trade
On May 27th, DACH was proud to host the U.S. Ambassador to the World Trade Organization, Peter Allgeier, for a discussion on trade and the state of the world economy at the Intercontinental Hotel in Geneva. Before a group of more than 70 attendees, Ambassador Allgeier explained some of the complexities of world trade and its importance to the US economy, the importance of free trade during tough economic times, and the upcoming DOHA round of trade talks. He took questions from the audience afterwards and he also answered several other prepared questions, including a question from Bill White, OECD economist who spoke to DACH in Basel the night before - and which we videotaped.
